We are extremely excited to announce that PseudoIDE is now officially available on Linux. Starting today, the open-source community can enjoy the full, high-performance experience of our modern development environment.
Official Distribution Formats
To ensure PseudoIDE runs flawlessly on any modern 64-bit distribution, we have packaged the application in two key formats:
- Debian Package (.deb): The best integration option for Debian and Ubuntu-based systems (like Linux Mint, Pop!_OS, and elementary OS).
- Portable Format (.AppImage): A single, universal executable that requires no installation. It works on Fedora, Arch Linux, openSUSE, and virtually any other distro without configuring extra dependencies.
How to Get Started on Linux?
If you choose the AppImage format, you just need to grant it execution permissions by running the command chmod +x PseudoIDE-1.9.0.AppImage in your terminal, or right-click the file, go to properties, and check "Allow executing file as program".
We highly appreciate all the community beta testers who helped us polish these Linux builds. Happy coding!
