Live Syntax Validation, Variable Checking & Smarter Includes

Features

  • Real-Time Syntax Diagnostics: Monaco editor now immediately catches and highlights unclosed strings and unrecognized statements as you type, surfacing line and column markers instead of failing during execution.
  • Undefined Variable Detection: In flexible profile mode, the diagnostics engine checks variable usage and flags references to undeclared identifiers before transpilation, accounting for variables initialized via Leer/Pedir, assignments, loops, and parameters.
  • Multi-Dialect Include Resolution: Enhanced include directives support (#incluir, #include, import, importar) with both single and double quotes. Exported symbols, functions, and classes in imported files are recursively resolved across modular projects.

Improvements

  • Robust Transpiler Error Handling: Bare invalid identifiers and unclosed string literals are caught cleanly at transpile time, avoiding broken JavaScript emission and delivering localized syntax error messages.
  • Stricter Typing & Comprehensive Tests: Diagnostic rules, include preprocessors, and workspace symbol resolvers are covered with thorough automated unit test suites.

Fixes

  • Diagnostics Noise Elimination: Resolved false-positive undefined variable warnings when reading multiple comma-separated variables in Leer/Pedir statements.
  • Import Path Navigation: Alt+click and definition jumping seamlessly handle dialect variants and normalized relative include paths.

PseudoIDE Online: The Editor Moves Into the Browser

Features

  • Editor Online at pseudoide.dev: The complete editor now lives at pseudoide.dev/{language}/editor — no download, no account, nothing to install. It is the very same application as the desktop build: same interpreter, same flowcharts, same step-by-step debugger.
  • Built for Small Screens: The editor adapts to phones and tablets. The file explorer slides in as a side panel, the editor uses the full width, and the welcome, settings and run dialogs were laid out for narrow displays instead of overflowing them.
  • Language From the Address: Opening /pt/editor, /en/editor or any other language starts the editor in that language right away.

Improvements

  • Content Visible Without JavaScript: Every page is now rendered before it reaches the browser, so search engines and slow connections see the real content immediately instead of an empty shell.
  • Accurate Search Listings and Link Previews: Each page declares its own canonical address and its language variants, so the right version is shown to the right audience.
  • One Editor, Everywhere: The online editor and the desktop app are published from the same source, so a fix or a feature lands in both at once.
  • Clearer Ownership: The footer and page metadata now credit Grid Technologies, the project behind PseudoIDE.

Fixes

  • No More Duplicate Tabs: Opening the same file several times while it was still loading — typical on OneDrive, iCloud Drive or any synced folder — used to open one tab per click. It now opens a single tab and reuses it.
  • Blog Navigation: Opening an article could fail with "Could not load the blog contents" depending on the address you were visiting from. The blog is now served through pseudoide.dev itself, so it works on any domain, port or preview link.
  • Version Always Up to Date: The published version shown in page titles and metadata could be stale on some pages; it is now resolved before each page is generated.

Modernized Foundation: Angular 22, TypeScript 6 & Electron 44

Improvements

  • Modern Foundation: Migrated the entire stack to the latest majors — Angular 22, TypeScript 6, Electron 44 and Monaco 0.57 — applying every official Angular migration along the way.
  • Refreshed Dependencies: Every direct dependency (packaging, Git bridge, diagramming, testing and formatting tooling) is now on its current release, with both lockfiles rebuilt from scratch.
  • Stricter Safety Nets: Editor options are now validated against the Monaco type definitions, so misconfigured settings fail at build time instead of being silently ignored.
  • Longer Support Horizon: Running on current, supported framework and runtime versions means fewer security and compatibility surprises ahead.

Desk-Check Output, Faster Editor & Security Hardening

Features

  • Desk Check Final State: The "Prueba de Escritorio" tab now shows the final value of every variable after a normal run (it used to be empty), with a hint to use Debug mode for the full step-by-step trace.

Improvements

  • Snappier Editor: Autocomplete and hover are now memoized, so suggestions and tooltips respond faster in large files.
  • Sturdier Internals: A major type-safety pass over the editor and IPC layer, a lighter execution worker, and a large internal cleanup mean fewer moving parts and fewer ways to break.
  • Hardened Git Bridge: The internal git integration is now restricted to a safe set of operations.

Fixes

  • File Operations: Deleting or renaming a folder no longer affects sibling files that share a name prefix (for example "foo" vs "foobar").
  • Diagnostics: More consistent detection of "Repetir ... Hasta Que" block endings.
  • Window & Layout: The window icon and split sizing now stay correct after resizing the window.

Editor Reliability, Auto-Updater & Windows Install Fixes

Improvements

  • Faster, More Reliable Editor: Rebuilt the Monaco editor integration for quicker startup and correct behavior. Themes apply from a single source, and git change markers no longer bleed between panes in split view.
  • Multi-language Include Navigation: Alt+click and clickable links on include directives now work across all supported languages, not just Spanish.
  • Leaner Build: Removed unused routing and dead code to keep the app lighter.

Fixes

  • Auto-Updater: "Restart to install" now reliably closes the app and launches the installer instead of doing nothing. Update failures are now reported to you instead of failing silently.
  • Windows Installation: The installed app now includes its menu translations and window icons (previously missing), and the Windows release build no longer fails on a non-portable cleanup step.
  • Editor Stability: Fixed duplicated language providers and editor event listeners that leaked when opening and closing tabs.
  • Code Checking: Numeric values passed to built-in functions no longer trigger false type errors.
  • Run Input Focus: When a running program asks for input, the cursor now lands directly in the input field instead of staying in the editor.

Known Issues

  • macOS auto-updates require a code-signed build: unsigned builds can download an update but cannot self-install (a Squirrel.Mac limitation).
v1.13.0

Web Usability Improvements & Keyboard Prevention

Features

  • At-Home Web Navigation: Intercepted Cmd+W / Ctrl+W shortcuts inside Monaco Editor using native key bindings, closing the active tab instead of closing the browser window
  • Global Session Shield: Integrated a global beforeunload listener warning users about unsaved work when trying to close the active tab or browser window with dirty files
  • Dotted Mesh Close Action: Added an explicit crimson close button inside the floating control group of flowchart diagrams, solving overlay blockages in web viewports

Improvements

  • Desktop UI Feel: Disabled global text and image selection across non-editable interfaces (like sidebars and setup panels) for a native app experience

Known Issues

  • The auto-updater experiences issues where clicking "Restart to install" does not consistently launch the new installer on some systems
v1.12.0

Real-time File Watching & Conflict Resolution

Features

  • Real-time File Watching: Implemented recursive monitoring of project directories using native OS events, ensuring the file tree updates instantly as external additions or removals occur
  • Warm Conflict Detector: Introduced automated detection for external file updates. Clean buffers reload silently, while modified files launch a persistent dialog to secure local changes
  • Visual Deletion Markers: Closed or deleted files now dynamically flag open editor tabs in red with a strike-through layout and soft opacity

Improvements

  • Toast Layout Responsiveness: Redesigned warning actions layout to stack vertically on narrow bounds, preventing button clipping
  • Diagram View Polish: Refined layout bounds in flowcharts and architecture diagrams, shortening connectors, scaling down unnecessary paddings, and fixing scrolling boundaries when zoomed to top limits

Fixes

  • Visual & Functional Fixes: Tweaked tab drag and drop visual cues, fixed border-dashed rendering in headers, and resolved overlapping horizontal scrollbars on dragging tabs

Known Issues

  • The auto-updater experiences issues where clicking "Restart to install" does not consistently launch the new installer on some systems
